GHANA FASHION INDUSTRY DEAD? SEE WHY.

Is Ghana fashion industry really dead? Well For some time now Ghanaians have come to embrace and develop some kind of love and feeling for Fashion and Style where as there is a certain satisfaction to that as the world keeps evolving.

New things keep popping up day in day out and fashion styles keep changing from time to time as Ghanaian Fashion Designers keep stepping up their games with different style of dresses day in day out and people are excited about it.

Fashion designers in Ghana, in the beginning were not enough as far as sometime back if my memories may serve right . Promptly, almost a decade ago we could probably point out the number of Fashion designers without stretching hands and there were about not more than (ten)10 of them in the country.

Today we cannot count the number of fashion designers and stylists without surveying and running an underground check. Simply to say there are a lot of Fashion Designers in the country and they are doing quite impressively well without fear and doubts and people seem to be appreciating them a lot for their creativity and their ability to bring new trends and styles for people to rock and roll with it.

So have you thought of redcarpet without Fashion?

Hmmm, I think is going to be a tough one there isn’t it?

Well the truth is Fashion gave birth to redcarpet. Fashion officially came into Ghana as a whole Industry on its own and has created a lot of employment avenues for people and today we can barely count of about thousands of people in the fashion industry considering Fashion designers, Stylists, Fashion Oriented schools, Fashion shows, Fashion awards, Modeling agencies and models, Redcarpet designers and many more you could talk of.

The Fashion consciousness of Ghanaians  is highly stimulated and recognized, which ranges from children to the old age and a typical example is the Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings who rocks and kills every redcarpert event with her modern KABA.

Ghana has gained a lot from Fashion in terms of money, fame, recognition through their dressing across the Globe but yet has no fashion industry and this is the biggest problem of all and if properly addressed  it may widened the scope of fashion and maximize revenue for all which will help define fashion more appealing and business wise.

In conclusion I think much attention should be paid to establishing an efficient fashion industry to accommodate more up and coming ones with intellectual minds in fashion and to bring together everyone who plays a role in the fashion industry under one roof to make them aware of themselves and to protect the fashion brand under a code of conduct and operation to help grow the industry more better.
