Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, popularly known as Joey B has joined the 80 percent Ghanaian music campaign saying he is not happy with the Ghana music industry.
Joey B who recently released his new song dubbed “Stables” featuring the “La meme Gang” seem very furious internally with the way things are faring in the music industry.
“Shatta wale started the whole movement but we didn’t help him and i think its time we joined hands together and push ourselves out there”, he said.
Joey B joined Jayson ELa on Ghone tv’s rythmz live for a possible interview to promote his new music video for the song “Stables” featuring the “La meme Gang” and some questions were thrown to him following his ill expressions on social media about the Ghana music Industry.
In response to the question relating to Ghana music industry, the Tonga hitmaker registered his displeasure about the ongoing negative happenings in the music industry and suggested remedies to it.
“I’m not happy with the music industry and i think is not only about the 80 percent Ghanaian music content on our airwaves alone but we have to do more in putting our music out there so people can patronize it like they used”, he siad.
He further went on saying that, Back in the days of “Kangaroo” by Tic and “ahomka” by Vip the Ghanaian music was doing really good out there and we were everywhere but now the Nigerian music seem to be playing a major role on the Ghanaian airwaves and its rather unfortunate.
