After Spending two decades and over in the music industry, Kwaisey Pee has criticised the presence of Afrima in Ghana, describing it as an an exercise in futility.

For many who shared their opinion on the presence of Afrima have not been positive and Kwaisey Pee is not exceptional.

In an interview on Ghone Tv, the highlife legend made known to Regina Vanhelvert, the whole idea of buying into Afrima’s presence to Ghana is nothing but a total waste of human resource.

According to Kwaisey, the award ceremony which was held in Accra to celebrate and honour African musicians did not give Ghanaian musicians maximum benefit as a host country.

He stated that, Ghanaians who were awarded that night were less than expected and should have been more since they paid for it.

Explaining further, Kwaisey Pee emphasized that Ghanaians who were billed to perform were minimal while the entire programe was being run and controlled by Nigerians leaving Ghanaians with their hands hanging.

The ministry of Tourism and Creative arts paid a sum of $700,000 to bring Afrima to Ghana and the outcome has not been fruitful according to Industry players.

Afrima is a Nigerian owned awards ceremony initiative seeking to award hardworking and talented musician in Africa.
