Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, Sarkodie, has joined many social media users to mourn the death of a young boy who died few days after undergoing surgery for suffering from a brain tumour.
The 13-year-old boy, Michael Kofi Asiamah was recently in the news when the family needed help with funds for the removal of his brain tumour.
Following several days of persistent social media campaigns, the $30,000 was raised and Michael had his surgery.
To the shock of many, Michael’s mother took to social media to announce the death of his only son in a long post.
She revealed that Michael died yesterday evening at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Upon hearing the sad news, Sarkodie took to Twitter to express shock and mourn with the family of Michael.
The rapper posted a video of the young boy who was happily singing his “Happy Day” song.
