Ghanaian International act, Stonebwoy has thrown words to question the Vodafone Ghana Music awards on its decision to loosen ban placed on him and dancehall king Shatta wale.
Barely a week ago, the premier awards scheme of Ghana music, released a statement announcing its decision of easing the indefinite-ban placed on the Bhim nation president and the SM boss.
This generated mixed reactions across digital and local media platforms, one that struck everyone was a reaction from the ‘Sobolo’ hitmaker.
According to the Bhim president, he is disappointed the VGMA board couldn’t accord he and Shatta the maximum respect of having a meeting with them before solely announcing its decision of lifting the ban.
In a post on social media Stonebwoy writes:
” Dear VGMA Board & Scheme organisers, I hear the purpose of the VGMA is to celebrate and project Ghanaian musicians and music. If that is so, it takes nothing from you to meet with us the artistes/ our reps b4 reaching decisions that affect us and communicating them to the public.
He then continued:
The right to be heard is a principle that applies to every noble society. Even the all-seeing God, who had already seen and knew all that Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden, still made sure he heard them before he took action against them. #IfTheySoDesire really??? ”
Shatta wale and Stonebwoy were banned from the VGMA IN 2019 upon exhibiting unlawful and life-threatening acts which ruined the entire event.
