American actor, writer and producer, Tyler Perry has paid for the groceries of the aged at 73 stores, offered $21,000 to Restaurant workers in Atlanta.
Tyler Perry is giving back in these difficult times by secretly picking up the tab for older shoppers at 73 grocery stores across Atlanta and New Orleans.
“He wanted to do something special to provide immediate relief for some of the most vulnerable in the two cities he considers home,”
The 50-year old entertainment mogul picked two regional chains for his largesse: 44 Kroger stores in Atlanta, Georgia — his home state — and 29 Winn-Dixie stores in New Orleans.
As a number of chains are doing, the two retailers reserved special hours for elderly shoppers, Perry “targeted” the stores during that time.
Restaurant workers in Atalanta receive $21,000 from Tyler Perry
The 21,000 will be shared among 42 employees, resulting in $500 apiece during the troubled times, It is stated Perry visits the location frequently.
Additional efforts to give back during the coronavirus include $2 million combined from JAY-Z and Rihanna’s Foundations, Meek Mill joining Hov to donate masks to prisons, and numerous efforts from NBA Stars.
Tyler Perry is no stranger to assisting places in need during a disaster when the Bahamas were ravished by Hurricane Dorian, he had a plane fly supplies to the area.
