Shatta wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, Isaac Kwabena Anning, Kidi, Kwesi Arthur, King promise, Guilty Beatz are among other musicians whose songs were popular in 2018.

I compiled this 2018 most popular songs in Ghana list based on consistent airplay, public song choice, social media reactions and event airplay toppled with online streaming numbers.

Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ song was the most popular song in Ghana, 2017.

10. Bobolebobo – Isaac Kwabena Anning: Bobolebobo is a Gospel song that went viral in 2018 almost caught everyone’s attention. The song gained massive airplay and got everyone jamming to it. Akwaaba – Guilty Beatz Ft Mr. Eazi, Pappy Kojo & Patapaa: One of the most popular songs in 2018, ‘Akwaaba’ was a global hit in 2018 – brought its own dance called the ‘Akwaaba Dance’ and got almost everyone jamming to it – the song currently has over 5.4million views. Akwaaba (the Ghanaian term for ‘welcome’) is the first single from the DJ/producer GuiltyBeatz who is signed to Banku Music. You may be familiar with GuiltyBeatz from the smash Mr. Eazi single “Sample You”.

4. CCTV – King Promise feat Sarkodie & Mugeez: King promise’s ‘CCTV’ was one of the most popular songs in 2018 – grabbing Sarkodie and Mugeez on the song made a masterpiece. The song currently has over 7.1million views and has gathered some numbers on digital music stores.

Stonebwoy: Anas’s Ghana football expose’ threw enormous spotlight on Yaa Pono’s song in 2018 – it was the talk of the town and resulted in great numbers on digital music stores. he song currently has over 2.6million views and was one of the most popular songs in 2018.
