While some other musicians do their best to avoid negative trolling and comments about their brand, Afropop singer, Wendy shay has disclosed with excitements that she enjoys negative comments more than the positive ones.
According to the Afrobeats musician, negative stories make her feel relevant. “I feel very important when negative stories are written about me because it makes me feel I am doing something great.
“ If I was not that important, no one would have said anything about me. It really hurts if you are doing something wonderful and no one is talking about you,” she told Graphic Showbiz recently.
She said although the negative things said about her are not true, she takes everything in good faith because she expected that to happen.
“As a showbiz person, I knew such things will happen but none of the things said about me for example, me wearing the same weave for nine months and continually wearing some particular shoes are true,” she said.
With songs like Uber Driver, Bedroom Commando and recently Astalavista doing the magic for her, Wendy Shay says she sees herself winning Grammys in the next five years.
According to her, the sky is her limit and with the great team she has, she is very positive that she will achieve great results in no time.
“It feels good to work with a record label which understands you and knows your direction. When both parties understand each other, attaining your goals is very quick and easy,” she said.
Wendy Shay expressed gratitude to her manager Bullet and the entire Rufftown Records label for spotting the talent in her.
She is currently every where with her three hit songs ‘Uber driver’, ‘bedroom commando’ and ‘astalavista’.
She was signed onto rufftown records earlier this year, after the demise of Ebony reigns.
