Ghanaian music songstress and African queen of entertainment, Wiyaala Noela has been recognized and honoured by BBc making her one of BBC’s most celebrated African Women in 2018.
The songstress was listed among equal trail blazers and change makers such as ILhan Omar, the first Somali-American to be elected to the US Congress, Sahle-Work Zewde, Ethiopia’s first female president, South African wrestler Cindi Gold, Somalian boxer Ramla Ali, FGM warrior Agnes Pareiyo and others.
The year 2018 was a good one for “The Lioness of Africa”, from touring Europe to appearing on the BBC as well as Sky News, Wiyaala not only gave her fans exciting and energetic performances, but also used the platforms to advocate for women to love themselves and their skin.
Wiyaala ended the year with her “Lioness Concert” held at Alliance Francais, the show saw a massive turnout by music lovers who have come to witness history.
Talk about giving back, Wiyaala went back home to Wa and Funsi where she inaugurated “The Stage” as well as engaged the people in several variety shows.
